The Clinical Manager is responsible for health center clinical operations and programs, working collaboratively as a part of the center leadership triad with the Center Medical Director and Administrator/Office Manager to provide safe, high quality, effective and efficient medical care. The Clinical Manager (CM) also works cross-organizationally and participates in organization committees and other groups as assigned. The CM is responsible for ensuring high quality, evidence-based patient care for their patient population through the primary care medical home model in an effective and efficient manner. Utilizing reporting tools and tracking as well as observation, the CM monitors patient volumes, quality of care, and performance of staff to identify areas for improvement and enact changes to achieve that improvement as appropriate. The CM is the authority for nursing and medical assistant duties, monitoring their practice and ensuring personnel are appropriately trained and qualified for their duties and that they are performing their care in accordance with standards and policies for their profession and the organization.
Essential functions: •Actively supervises clinical support staff in a way that facilitates increased patient throughput. •Creates/develops clinical leaders through mentoring and by example. •Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for expense management, improved patient flow and other center processes.
The Highlandtown Healthy Living Center is located in East Baltimore. This spacious, modern, green building has 52 exam rooms and provides primary care, behavioral health and women's health services to a disadvantaged population including many refugee families. Monday - Friday schedule.
